Leaving Laos, next stop Saigon

We bid goodbye to Madame Vanvisa and her guesthouse, with all its many treasures.
She had stacks of cloth that had been made on her loom and brought in from around the area. She is some kind of local authority on the business. She said she counsels the women weavers to take more mone for their handiwork. We never could figure out or get her to tell us which if any of the things in her lobby were for sale.
She also had many other artifacts, some of which may or may not have been for sale.
This is the loom at Vanvisa Guest House, in the open air dining room.
As we were about to leave an elderly woman, I thought she might be Mme Vanvisa's mother, tied strings to our wrists while she was chanting. I suppose it was a Buddhist ritual of some kind. Maybe it will help my journey to Henry swifter and smoother!
