Finally the wheels squeaked back into motion and the date has been set for the Giving and Receiving Ceremony--29 October. That also happens to be the date that my fingerprint clearance expires (it's only good for fifteen months) and it has to be good until my exit interview in Hanoi. So tomorow I am off to the consulate to start the renewal process.
I will pick Henry up on the 28th, which is still a long time away. In the meantime we will be traveling up the coast to Loc and Hoi's wedding next Thursday and Friday. We will take the train up and fly back on Saturday.
I can't believe I've been here this long and that it is finally wrapping up, and that soon Henry will be part of my life!

Scott,
Thankyou for letting everyone follow along on your very long journey to your handsome son. It's been heartbreaking to see how long it has taken for you to get your G&R and now that you have it I want to say, "CONGRATULATION!" I very excited for you and for the life you and your son will have together.
God has blessed you both.
