They had seen Henry Friday before last when they picked up their children, he and some other babies were apparently in transit from where they have been kept for the past several months to another orphanage. Henry was crying in those last photos because of the stress of the move and I think it was hot. I think that even though he and the other babies whose adoptions are pending have moved they still seem to be cared for by the same caregivers.
He looks much happier in these photos, it was a relief to get them. Tammy is picutred in two of the photos with Henry. She is adopting a little girl as also are Cameron & Kelly.
We returned to Saigon late Saturday night and after a frenzied taxi ride back to our hotel in which we were way overcharged (much to my mother's chagrin) we had a night's rest and then met up with the other families. They have been so helpful and friendly. Tammy had taken a video when they had the G&R last Wednesday (which is when they saw Henry in these photos) so I got to see live action shots of him. It is good to be back here now, to be meeting with the other families, and to be getting some answers and see the light at the end of the tunnel. Sister Elisabeth, a nun from the St. Bethilde monastary where we stayed, called the orphanage where Henry is at and all seems to be proceeding. My fingerprints expire on 29 October--they can thank goodness be renewed over here but I've been told to wait, that is is possible things will be wrapped up before then. If it still looks unlikely by the 18th or 19th then I will have to visit the consulate and start the renewal process.
For now we are happy to be back in Saigon with some friends to visit with now and some happy news.

I'm so glad that it sounds like some progress is being made. Hopefully, you won't need to get your fingerprints renewed and Henry will be in your arms in the coming days.
Take care,
Julie
The pictures are very reassuring! Please thank them for me!!!

He's such a cutie and it is so good to hear that things seem to be proceeding. Love the travel and scenic pictures, but I can't wait to see more Henry!
