I am concerned that he is not eating as well as he was before. Food that he used to gobble up like oatmeal or cream of wheat is not interesting to him anymore. I can usually get him to eat two or three bites of something that I consider nutritional, but that is all. He will grudgingly eat cereal-like food that is similar to Cheerios. Gerber puts out the finger food carrots, sweet potatoes, corn, apples, and pineapples.
He will still take milk or formula from a bottle. He will take only one or two sips from a cup, not enough in my opinion to get any real benefit. I have started feeding him Pediasure at night just to get the added vitamins in him. Friends tell me babies go through cycles of not wanting to eat much, but I am not wanting him to lose the weight he has gained.
ECI (Early Childhood Intervention) will evaluate him this coming Monday to see if we qualify for their services. If I can get help from them there will be a nutritionist, physical therapist, etc. They will help him with walking and feeding himself and will also advise me on what I need to be doing. I am keeping my fingers crossed that we will qualify for the assistance.

Scott, when my children at this age, I cooked porridge to feed them. I boiled (with tiny fire) the pork bones with water for two hours, and filter the soup and put the soup in the refrig or freezer. I took some soup to make porridge each time. I boiled rice with the soup first (you can add some water), and when it is almost done, I put fish (or meat) and vegi that had been cut into tiny pieces to make pasty porridge. You can also use spoon to shave ripe banana, apple, pear to feed Henry.
One thing that Eliza would eat really well from the beginning was a baked sweet potato. She hated baby food. Some other things that she had continued to love are familia for infants (an oatmeal cereal) mixed with yogurt. I also mix yogurt with formula, or now milk when I think she hasn't eaten enough solids. Hope that helps. Kids do fluctuate with what they eat. Now that he is better nourished he might just be slowing down.

Try googling "when babies won't eat" and you will get lots of links to some good advice. You'll see that you aren't alone, and you'll get tips. Hope that helps.
Believe it or not, Sara is not that interested in eating either!

I can't remember how old Henry is, but my daughter is 12 mos. We struggled to get her to take her bottles or to eat baby food, but now she LOVES feeding herself. I am amazed that this is the same child. She loves turkey, cheese, pasta, green beans, etc.
Hang in there. You and Henry will figure it out together.
